Brow Lamination Course

Brow lamination is one of the fastest-growing treatments in the beauty industry and consistently one of the most requested services on client menus across the UK. The treatment works by using a chemical perming solution to straighten and lift brow hairs from the root, allowing them to be brushed into a full, fluffy, defined shape and set in place. The result lasts four to six weeks and requires no maintenance between appointments.

Brow lamination appeals to a huge range of clients, from those with sparse or uneven brows who want more fullness, to clients who simply want their brows to stay in place without daily grooming. It photographs exceptionally well and has become a staple in both everyday beauty and bridal markets.

Our Brow Lamination Course covers the full treatment from consultation through to aftercare, including patch testing, solution selection, timing, neutralising, nourishing, and finishing.

Who it suits: Anyone wanting to add a high-demand, recurring treatment to their menu. Brow lamination works well as a standalone service and as a natural pairing with brow tinting or lash lifting. It is suitable for complete beginners and for therapists who already offer other treatments and want to extend their brow offering.

What you will learn: Brow anatomy and hair growth patterns, contraindications and patch testing, product safety and solution chemistry, treatment procedure from preparation through to setting and nourishing, brow brushing and shaping technique, client aftercare guidance, and retail opportunities.

Earning potential: Brow lamination appointments typically charge between £35 and £65 depending on your location and experience level. Clients return every four to six weeks, making it a reliable repeat-booking service. Many therapists pair lamination with a tint for a combined appointment worth £50 to £80.

Eyebrow Wax and Tint Course

Eyebrow waxing and tinting is the foundation of any brow menu. It is the service clients return to most regularly, typically every three to four weeks, and it is the treatment that underpins all other brow work. Mastering wax and tint gives you the core shaping and colour skills that carry across every other brow technique you will ever learn.

The Eyebrow Wax and Tint Course covers both elements in full: hot or strip wax application for precise brow shaping and removal, and the application of semi-permanent tint to enhance colour, definition, and fullness. Together, they form one of the most versatile and reliable services in beauty.

Who it suits: Complete beginners starting their brow career, and beauty therapists who want to formalise skills they may already have under an accredited qualification. Wax and tint is also the natural starting point before progressing to lamination, henna brows, or other specialist techniques.

What you will learn: Brow mapping and shaping theory, skin types and contraindications, patch testing, hot wax and strip wax technique for brow shaping, tint application and timing, colour selection and mixing, removal and finishing, aftercare advice, and client consultation.

Earning potential: An eyebrow wax and tint appointment typically takes 30 to 45 minutes and charges between £20 and £40. Because clients return every three to four weeks, a modest client base generates consistent, predictable income. This service is also one of the easiest to upsell alongside other treatments.

Henna Brows Course

Henna brows are a plant-based tinting technique that offers a longer-lasting result than standard brow tint. It works by staining the skin beneath the brow hair as well as the hairs themselves, creating a fuller, more defined brow shape that can last up to two weeks on the skin and up to six weeks on the hair. For clients who want a more dramatic, defined look without a semi-permanent procedure, henna brows are the perfect solution.

Demand for henna brows has grown steadily, particularly among clients who want to frame their brows clearly between appointments or who prefer plant-based and vegan-friendly products. Offering henna alongside standard tinting gives you a more premium option to present at consultation.

Who it suits: Therapists who already offer wax and tint and want to add a higher-value tinting service, or those who want to build a brow menu that includes a vegan-friendly treatment option from the start. Henna brows are also a strong pairing with brow lamination.

What you will learn: Henna product chemistry and how it differs from standard tint, skin preparation and patch testing, henna application technique, timing and layering for different depths of colour, skin staining and aftercare, client consultation and managing expectations around longevity.

Earning potential: Henna brow appointments typically charge between £30 and £55, reflecting the premium product and longer-lasting result. Paired with lamination, the combined appointment value increases significantly, and clients often book both services together once they experience the result.

Threading Course

Threading is a traditional hair removal technique that uses a twisted cotton thread to lift and remove brow hairs with precision and speed. It has a dedicated and loyal client base, particularly among clients with sensitive skin who find wax too harsh or who have been threading since childhood and prefer it as their go-to removal method.

Learning threading expands your client reach significantly. Clients who thread are often reluctant to switch to any other method, which means a threading qualification can open the door to a client segment that waxing alone cannot serve.

Who it suits: Therapists wanting to add an alternative brow shaping method to their existing menu, or complete beginners in areas where threading is highly in demand. Threading is also popular as a standalone offering for therapists who prefer to work without wax products or chemicals.

What you will learn: Threading technique from the ground up, hand coordination and thread tension, shaping approaches for different brow types, skin care before and after threading, contraindications, client consultation, and threading-specific aftercare.

Earning potential: Threading appointments are typically quick, making them efficient for a high-volume day. Pricing varies but typically falls between £8 and £20 for brow threading, with many technicians building a high number of appointments per day into a sustainable and loyal client base.

Full Definition Brows Course

Full definition brows is a specialist treatment that goes beyond standard shaping and tinting to create a bold, precisely designed brow look with strong structure and sharp definition. Using a combination of techniques including waxing, threading, and tinting alongside mapping and design principles, the treatment delivers a polished, makeup-like result that lasts and photographs beautifully.

This course is designed for therapists who want to work at the more artistic and detail-oriented end of brow work, creating results that go beyond a maintenance tidy-up and into genuine transformations.

Who it suits: Therapists who already have foundational brow skills and want to move into more advanced design work, or those starting out who want to lead with a high-impact, premium-feeling service. Full definition brows are particularly popular for bridal and special occasion clients.

What you will learn: Brow mapping and golden ratio principles, design planning for different face shapes, combination technique using wax, thread, and tint, precision application, creating structure and symmetry, finishing and aftercare, and client consultation for design-led brow work.

Earning potential: Full definition brow appointments command a higher price point than a standard wax and tint, typically £40 to £70 depending on what the treatment includes. Clients who invest in a defined brow look tend to be loyal and return consistently to maintain the shape.

Hybrid Tint Brow Course

Hybrid brow tint is a newer tinting technique that combines the properties of standard brow tint and henna to deliver a result that colours both the skin and the hair more effectively than either product alone. The outcome is a fuller, more defined brow with better longevity than traditional tint but a softer finish than pure henna. It has quickly become one of the most requested treatments by clients who want a natural but polished everyday brow.

As clients become more informed about the options available to them, hybrid tint is increasingly something they ask for by name. Being trained in the technique positions you ahead of therapists who only offer standard tinting.

Who it suits: Therapists who already offer wax and tint and want to add a contemporary, higher-value alternative, or those building their brow menu from scratch who want to start with the most current technique. Hybrid tint is a strong upgrade to offer existing clients at their next appointment.

What you will learn: Hybrid tint product chemistry, how it differs from standard tint and henna, skin preparation, patch testing, application technique, timing and development, removal and finishing, and aftercare specific to hybrid tint results.

Earning potential: Hybrid tint appointments typically charge a small premium over standard tinting, commonly between £25 and £50. The improved longevity of the result is an easy sell at consultation, and clients who switch from standard tint rarely go back.

Airbrush Brows Course

Airbrush brows use a specialist airbrush tool to apply semi-permanent colour to the brow area, creating a soft, powdered, makeup-like finish that defines the brow shape and adds density. The technique delivers a precise, even result that is particularly flattering on clients who want a full, groomed brow without the boldness of henna staining or the texture of microblading.

Airbrush brows are a growing trend in the UK and represent a point of difference for therapists who want to offer something distinctive alongside their standard brow menu.

Who it suits: Therapists who want to add a creative, equipment-led brow technique to their services, or those who want to appeal to clients looking for a contemporary, polished brow treatment that sits between tinting and semi-permanent makeup. Airbrush brows are also popular with clients ahead of events or photoshoots.

What you will learn: Airbrush equipment setup and maintenance, product selection and colour mixing, application technique and pressure control, brow mapping and shaping, blending and finishing, client consultation, contraindications, and aftercare.

Earning potential: Airbrush brow appointments typically charge between £30 and £60 depending on the complexity of the service. The technique is fast once mastered, making it a time-efficient addition to a brow menu.

Eyebrow Waxing Course

Our standalone Eyebrow Waxing Course is a focused training programme covering professional brow shaping using wax. It covers the full waxing process in detail, from skin preparation and contraindications through to precise hair removal and finishing, without the tinting element. It is an ideal course for those who specifically want to focus on wax technique, or for therapists who already hold a tinting qualification and simply want to add a waxing certification alongside it.

Who it suits: Therapists who want to add a waxing qualification without a combined course, those who carry out brow shaping by other means and want to introduce wax, or anyone whose existing qualifications cover tinting but not waxing.

What you will learn: Skin assessment and contraindications for waxing, hot wax and strip wax application, precise brow shaping technique, pre- and post-wax skin care, client consultation, and aftercare.

Paired together, lamination and henna create a comprehensive service: lamination for clients who want shape, structure, and fullness in their natural brows, and henna for clients who want deeper colour and skin staining that lasts longer than standard tint.

Who it suits: Anyone who wants to launch with a premium brow menu without buying two courses individually, or therapists who already offer one treatment and want to add the other at a bundled price.

Most students qualify within a few weeks, though you have up to one year to complete your course.

Face-to-face training is ideal if you prefer hands-on learning with an instructor present, or if you want to qualify in an intensive format as quickly as possible. Our face-to-face training is held in Northern Ireland. Email us at contact@esbeautyschool.com for dates and availability.

Both routes lead to the same fully accredited, insurable certificate. The choice comes down to how you learn best.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any prior experience to enrol on a brow course? No. All of our online brow courses are suitable for complete beginners. The material takes you from the foundations through to a professional qualification, step by step. You do not need a beauty therapy background to get started.

How long does it take to complete an online brow course? Most students complete their course within two to four weeks, though you have up to 12 months. There are no fixed deadlines and no set class times.

Will my certificate allow me to get insured? Yes. All of our brow qualifications are accredited by ABT, AIT, or the CPD Accreditation Group, which are recognised by all major UK beauty insurance providers.

Can I pay in instalments? Yes. We offer Klarna at checkout, which lets you spread the cost of your course over several months.

What is the difference between brow lamination and henna brows? Brow lamination is a lifting treatment that chemically straightens and sets brow hairs into a fluffy, defined shape. It works primarily on the hair rather than the skin. Henna brows use a plant-based tint that colours both the hairs and the skin beneath them, creating a fuller and longer-lasting tinted result. They are complementary treatments and many clients benefit from having both.

What is the difference between standard brow tint and hybrid tint? Standard brow tint colours the brow hairs only. Hybrid tint is a newer formula that combines the properties of tint and henna, colouring both the hairs and the skin for a result with better longevity and a more defined finish than standard tint alone.

Can I offer multiple brow treatments from a single combined course? Yes. Our combined courses qualify you in two or three techniques at once. You receive a separate accredited certificate for each course included in the bundle, so you can offer every service you have trained in.

Is there support available while I am studying? Yes. All students have access to tutor support throughout their course.

How much can I earn as a brow technician? Earnings depend on your location, the range of services you offer, and your experience level. Many independent brow technicians in the UK charge between £20 and £70 per appointment depending on the treatment, with clients returning every three to six weeks. Building a consistent client base for brow treatments is achievable relatively quickly because the treatments are affordable, low-risk, and deliver visible results that keep clients coming back.
