Classic Eyelash Extension Course
Classic lash extensions are the foundation of all lash work. The technique involves applying a single synthetic lash extension to each individual natural lash, creating a look that enhances length, curl, and definition without appearing heavy or overdone. It's the most widely requested lash service and the essential starting point for any lash technician.
Our Classic Eyelash Extension Course takes you from the very beginning — covering eye anatomy, consultation, patch testing, and product safety — all the way through to a polished, professional finish. By the end of the course you will be confident applying a full set, carrying out infill appointments, and removing extensions safely.
Who it suits: Complete beginners who want to build a lash career from scratch, or beauty therapists adding lash extensions to their treatment menu for the first time. Classic lashes are also a prerequisite for most advanced lash techniques, so this course is the logical first step regardless of where you want your lash career to go.
What you'll learn: Eye anatomy and contraindications, patch testing and client consultation, lash selection (length, curl, and thickness), adhesive handling and humidity management, classic one-to-one application technique, isolation skills, full set application, infill appointments, and safe removal.
Earning potential: A classic full set of lash extensions typically commands £45–£80 depending on your location and experience level. Clients return for infills every two to three weeks, creating consistent and predictable repeat income from a relatively small client base.

Russian Eyelash Extension Course
Russian Volume lashes — also known simply as Russian lashes or volume lashes — take a different approach to classic extensions. Rather than placing one extension on each natural lash, the Russian technique involves handcrafting lightweight fans of two to six lashes (or more) and applying each fan to a single natural lash. The result is a softer, fuller, more glamorous finish that cannot be achieved with classic extensions alone.
Russian lashing requires a more advanced skill set than classic, particularly around fan-making and the precise isolation needed to protect the natural lash. Our Russian Eyelash Extension Course covers every element of the technique in full, from creating consistent fans through to applying a complete set at a professional standard.
Who it suits: Technicians who already hold or are studying a classic lash qualification and want to expand their service offering. Russian volume clients tend to want a more dramatic result and are willing to pay a premium price for it — making this course a direct route to higher-value appointments.
What you'll learn: Volume fan theory and construction, lash weight and safety limits, fan symmetry and placement, advanced isolation technique, full Russian volume set application, infill technique, fan removal, and client consultation for volume lashes.
Earning potential: Russian volume sets typically command £60–£120 for a full set, reflecting the additional skill and time involved. As with classic lashes, infills every two to three weeks create reliable repeat income, with most clients paying a slightly higher infill rate than classic clients.

Hybrid Eyelash Extension Course
Hybrid lash extensions combine classic and Russian volume techniques within a single set — typically a 50/50 or 70/30 mix depending on the client's natural lashes and desired look. The result sits between the two styles: more textured and fuller than a classic set, but more natural and wearable than full Russian volume.
Hybrid lashes have become one of the most consistently requested extension styles in the UK, particularly among clients who want a noticeable enhancement without the full drama of volume fans. Being able to offer hybrid as a standalone service significantly broadens your client appeal.
Who it suits: Technicians who already hold qualifications in both classic and Russian lash extensions, or those taking the combined course below. Hybrid lashing requires confidence in both techniques — the skill here lies in knowing how to blend them for each individual client's eye shape and natural lash density.
What you'll learn: Hybrid lash theory and design principles, when to use classic versus fan placement, how to assess natural lashes for hybrid suitability, creating consistent texture and density across the lash line, full hybrid set application, and infill technique.
Earning potential: Hybrid sets typically charge £55–£100 for a full set — sitting between classic and full Russian pricing — and are a natural upsell for classic clients who want more impact. Offering all three styles gives you maximum flexibility to match clients to the look and price point that suits them best.

Pre-Made Russian Fan Extension Course
Pre-made fans are a popular alternative to handcrafted Russian volume fans — particularly for technicians who want to offer volume lash results with a faster application time. Rather than making each fan from scratch during the appointment, pre-made fans are manufactured ready to apply, allowing for a more efficient service without compromising on the finished result.
Pre-made fans are an excellent bridge between classic lashes and full handmade Russian volume, and are particularly useful for technicians building up their speed or managing a high-volume appointment diary.
Who it suits: Classic-qualified technicians who want to offer volume results without committing to the longer learning curve of handmade fan-making, or technicians at any level who want to streamline their appointment times. Pre-made fans are also ideal for technicians whose clients want more volume but have natural lashes too fine to support handmade fans safely.
What you'll learn: Pre-made fan types and quality assessment, adhesive compatibility, correct placement and weight considerations, how to blend pre-made fans for a natural finish, infill technique using pre-made fans, and how to advise clients on aftercare specific to volume styles.
Earning potential: Pre-made fan sets are typically priced similarly to Russian volume — £55–£100 for a full set — while often taking less time to apply than handmade fans, improving your earning rate per hour.

Mega Volume Eyelash Extensions
Mega volume takes Russian lashing to its most extreme and glamorous expression. Using ultra-fine lash extensions applied in large fans of seven lashes or more per natural lash, mega volume creates maximum density and drama — the kind of full, dark lash line that makes an instant statement and photographs beautifully.
This is a specialist technique requiring a high level of proficiency in lash extension application. It commands premium pricing and attracts clients who know exactly what they want — and are willing to pay well for a technician skilled enough to deliver it.
Who it suits: Experienced lash technicians who are already confident in Russian volume and want to extend their repertoire into high-end, high-drama work. Mega volume is popular with clients in the bridal, editorial, and entertainment industries, as well as everyday clients who simply love a bold lash.
What you'll learn: Ultra-fine extension selection and weight calculations, mega fan construction, safe density limits for mega volume, advanced isolation at speed, full mega volume set application, infill technique, and client management for dramatic styles.
Earning potential: Mega volume sets are among the most premium lash treatments available, with full sets typically priced at £80–£150. The specialist nature of the skill justifies charging at the top end of the market, and the clients it attracts tend to have a strong repeat booking pattern.

LED Classic & Russian Eyelash Extensions
LED lashing is an innovative alternative to standard adhesive application. Rather than relying solely on humidity and standard lash glue to cure the adhesive, LED lash extensions use a specialist glue and a small LED light to cure each extension instantly on contact. The technique offers a more controlled application environment, reduced sensitivity for clients who find traditional adhesives irritating, and a faster overall cure time.
This course covers both classic and Russian LED application techniques, giving you a versatile and modern service to add to your menu — one that is particularly appealing to clients with sensitive eyes or previous reactions to traditional lash glue.
Who it suits: Technicians who already hold classic and Russian qualifications and want to offer a specialist alternative for clients with adhesive sensitivity. LED lashing is also a strong differentiator in a competitive local market, since not all technicians are trained in the technique.
What you'll learn: LED adhesive chemistry and how it differs from standard glue, the LED curing process, classic LED application, Russian volume LED fan application, client suitability assessment, and managing appointments for clients transitioning from traditional extensions to LED.

Combined Course: Classic & Russian Lash Extensions
Our Combined Classic & Russian Lash Course gives you full qualifications in both techniques at a significantly reduced price compared to taking the courses separately. This is the most popular starting point for lash technicians who want to launch with a comprehensive service menu from day one — covering the two most commonly requested extension styles under a single qualification journey.
Who it suits: Anyone who wants to hit the ground running with a professional lash menu rather than adding services one at a time. The combined course makes sense both financially and practically — you build your classic skills first, then layer on your Russian technique, so each one reinforces the other.
What's included: Everything covered in the Classic Eyelash Extension Course plus everything in the Russian Eyelash Extension Course — full theory, application, infill technique, removal, and case study requirements for both.
Price: £109 (saving £119 compared to purchasing separately)

Combined Course: Classic, Russian & Hybrid Lash Extensions
For the most comprehensive extension qualification in a single package, our Combined Classic, Russian & Hybrid Course adds hybrid lashing to the full classic and Russian programme. Completing all three means you can offer clients a lash extension for every occasion — natural and defined with classic, full and glamorous with Russian, or the increasingly popular middle ground with hybrid.
Who it suits: Technicians who want to cover every major extension style from the outset and have maximum flexibility when it comes to client consultations. This is also the most cost-effective route to triple qualification.
What's included: Classic, Russian, and Hybrid Eyelash Extension courses — full theory, case studies, and certification for all three styles.
Price: £129 (saving £129 compared to purchasing separately)

Combined Course: Classic & Pre-Made Russian Fans
If you want to offer volume results without the handmade fan element, our Combined Classic & Pre-Made Russian Fans Course pairs the classic foundation with the pre-made fan technique — giving you both disciplines at a bundled price. It's a particularly practical combination for technicians who want volume on the menu quickly while developing classic speed and consistency alongside it.
What's included: Classic Eyelash Extension Course and Pre-Made Russian Fan Extension Course — full theory, application, and certification for both.
Price: £109

Advanced Eyelash Styling Workshop
Once you've built your foundational extension skills, the Advanced Eyelash Styling Workshop is where your artistry develops. This course moves beyond technique into the theory and practice of lash design — how to read different eye shapes, understand face proportions, and map a lash look that is genuinely flattering rather than just applied by default.
The workshop also covers editorial and special occasion styling, giving you the creative vocabulary to offer more than a standard set — and to position yourself at the premium, design-led end of the market.
Who it suits: Qualified lash technicians who have completed at least classic extension training and want to deepen their creative and diagnostic skills. This course is particularly valuable for technicians who want to attract bridal, photoshoot, or event clients, or those who want to move towards teaching.
What you'll learn: Eye shape analysis and lash mapping, facial proportion theory, curl and length selection for different eye shapes, lash design for special occasions and editorial work, and how to consult clients on a customised lash look.

Lash Lift Course
Lash lifts are one of the fastest-growing treatments in the beauty industry — and it's easy to see why. Unlike lash extensions, a lash lift works entirely with the client's natural lashes, using a chemical perming solution to lift and curl them from the root. The result is wide, open eyes with naturally curled lashes that last four to eight weeks with no infill appointments, no adhesive, and no maintenance between visits.
For clients who can't or don't want extensions, a lash lift is often the first treatment they'll try — and because results are dramatic without being high-maintenance, client retention for lash lifts is extremely high.
Our Lash Lift Course covers the full treatment from consultation and patch testing through to lash shield selection, solution application, timing, and aftercare — everything you need to offer the service safely and professionally.
Who it suits: Anyone who wants to add a low-equipment, high-demand treatment to their menu. Lash lifts don't require the same level of precision as extensions and have a shorter learning curve, making them a great entry point into lash work, or a strong add-on for technicians already offering extensions.
What you'll learn: Lash anatomy and natural lash assessment, contraindications, patch testing, shield sizing and lash placement, solution application and timing, neutralising, nourishing, and aftercare advice for clients.
Earning potential: Lash lift appointments typically charge £45–£80 and take 45–60 minutes. Many technicians combine a lash lift with a lash tint (see below) for a higher-value appointment — typically charging £60–£100 combined — which is one of the most popular treatment packages in the UK right now.

Korean Lash Lift
The Korean lash lift is a next-generation take on the traditional lash lift — using a different approach to shield placement and solution application to create a lift that is more dramatic at the root with a refined, straight-to-curled gradient rather than a uniform curl from root to tip. The technique has become a major trend in professional lash work and is increasingly requested by clients who follow beauty content from Korea and Japan.
Offering the Korean technique alongside the traditional lash lift positions you at the cutting edge of your local market and appeals to a younger, trend-aware client base.
Who it suits: Lash lift-qualified technicians who want to offer a second, more contemporary style — or those who want to start with the technique that clients are increasingly asking for by name.
What you'll learn: The difference between Korean and traditional lash lift technique, shield placement and lash positioning for a Korean-style result, solution timing adjustments, finishing and aftercare, and how to consult clients on which style is right for them.

Eyelash Tinting Course
Eyelash tinting is one of the simplest additions to any lash or brow menu — and one that clients consistently return for. The treatment involves applying a semi-permanent tint to the natural lashes to create a darker, more defined appearance without mascara. It's typically added onto lash lift appointments, combined with brow tinting for an express eye treatment, or offered as a standalone service for clients with light lashes.
Our Eyelash Tinting Course covers the full treatment from client consultation and patch testing through to tint application, timing, and removal — including both lash tinting and the combination of lash and brow tinting together.
Who it suits: Anyone who wants a fast, low-cost service to add to their menu that generates regular repeat bookings. Tinting is an ideal add-on if you already offer lash lifts, brow waxing, or beauty treatments — and it's the kind of appointment clients book every four to six weeks without fail.
What you'll learn: Contraindications and patch testing, tint selection and mixing, application technique for lash tinting, timing and removal, aftercare, and combined lash and brow tint protocol.
Earning potential: Standalone lash tinting typically charges £15–£30 and takes under 30 minutes — making it an efficient revenue generator either as a standalone or as an upsell. Combined with a lash lift, you can add meaningful value to an existing appointment without significant extra time.

Combined Brow Lamination & Lash Lift Course
Brow lamination and lash lifts are two of the most booked treatments in the UK — and together they create a natural eye-framing result that clients love. Our Combined Brow Lamination & Lash Lift Course qualifies you in both treatments at a bundled price, giving you the ability to offer one of the most popular treatment combinations on the market in a single study programme.
Who it suits: Therapists who want to build a brow-and-lash menu from the ground up, or those who already offer one treatment and want to add the other without paying full course price. The combined format also means clients can book both services in a single appointment — increasing your average booking value significantly.
What's included: Full Lash Lift Course plus full Brow Lamination Course — including theory, case studies, and certification for both.
Price: £109

Eyebrow Wax, Tint & Eyelash Tinting Course
For a complete eye and brow treatment qualification in one course, this combined package covers eyebrow waxing, eyebrow tinting, and eyelash tinting together. It's a practical, client-focused combination that gives you everything you need to offer a full express eye treatment — the kind of appointment that clients book every three to four weeks and rarely cancel.
Who it suits: Therapists starting out who want a versatile, quick-to-deliver treatment package, or those who already do beauty work and want to formalise their brow and lash skills under a recognised accreditation.
What's included: Eyebrow waxing technique, brow tinting protocol, and eyelash tinting — with client consultation, patch testing, and aftercare covered for all three services.
Price: £109

Online vs Face-to-Face Lash Training — Which is Right for You?
All of our lash courses are available online, and some are also offered as face-to-face options.
Online lash courses let you study entirely at your own pace, in your own home, without any fixed schedule. You access video tutorials and training manuals through our student portal, complete your theory assessments, and then carry out your practical case studies on friends or family before submitting for marking. Most students qualify within a few weeks, though you have up to one year to complete your course.
Face-to-face training is ideal if you prefer learning alongside an instructor, want to complete your practical work in a supervised setting, or want to qualify as quickly as possible in an intensive format. Our face-to-face training is held in Northern Ireland — email us for more information at contact@esbeautyschool.com.
Both routes lead to the same fully accredited, insurable certificate. The choice comes down to how you learn best and what fits your schedule.
Accreditation and Insurance
Every lash course at Elizabeth Sands Beauty School is accredited by one or more of the following recognised awarding bodies: ABT (Association of Beauty Therapists), AIT (Association of International Therapists), or the CPD Accreditation Group.
These accreditations are recognised by all major UK beauty insurance providers, meaning that once you complete your course and receive your certificate, you can apply for professional insurance and begin offering lash treatments to paying clients with full confidence.
Your certificate is issued within 72 hours of successfully completing your course and case studies.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any previous experience to take a lash course? No — all of our online lash courses are suitable for complete beginners. The material is structured to take you from zero knowledge through to a professional qualification, step by step.
How long does it take to complete an online lash course? Most students complete their course within two to six weeks, though you have up to 12 months. There are no deadlines and no set class times — you study entirely at your own pace.
Will my certificate allow me to get insured? Yes. All of our lash qualifications are accredited by ABT, AIT, or the CPD Accreditation Group, which are recognised by all major UK beauty insurance providers.
Can I pay in instalments? Yes — we offer Klarna at checkout, which allows you to spread the cost of your course over several months.
What equipment do I need? This varies by course. Full kit requirements are detailed on each individual course page. We also stock lash supplies and kits in our Shop Lashes section if you need to purchase equipment alongside your training.
Is there support available while I'm studying? Yes — all students have access to tutor support throughout their course.
What is the difference between classic, Russian, and hybrid lashes? Classic lashes involve one extension per natural lash for a defined, natural-enhanced look. Russian volume uses handmade fans of multiple fine extensions per natural lash for a fuller, softer finish. Hybrid blends both techniques in a single set for a textured result that sits between the two in terms of density and drama.
Can I offer lash extensions and lash lifts as separate services? Absolutely. Many lash technicians offer both — extensions for clients who want a dramatic transformation and regular infills, and lash lifts for clients who prefer a lower-maintenance, natural result. Having both qualifications significantly widens your client base.
How much can I earn as a lash technician in the UK? Earnings vary based on location, experience, and the range of services you offer. Many independent lash technicians in the UK charge between £45 and £120 per appointment and can build a fully booked diary within a few months. Lash extensions are a repeat-booking service — clients return every two to three weeks — which creates stable, predictable income once your base is established.
